Welcome to the Super Smiles Privacy Policy

The privacy and security of your personal information is extremely important to us. This privacy policy explains how we use your personal data. We will only use your personal data as permitted by the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.

Your personal data (any information which identifies you, or which can be identified as relating to you personally for example, name, address, phone number, email address) will be collected and used by us. This will normally simply be to answer an enquiry or question that you have made to Super Smiles or may be to do with fundraising, donations, volunteering or employment. We will only collect the personal data we need.

 

Volunteers

If you are a volunteer then we may collect extra information about you (e.g. references, criminal records checks, details of emergency contacts etc.). This information will be retained for legal or contractual reasons, to protect Super Smiles (including in the event of an insurance or legal claim) and for safeguarding purposes.

 

Donations

If you make a donation, we will use any personal information you give us to record the nature of your gift, claim tax relief where you have told us you are eligible and to thank you for your gift. If you interact or have a conversation with us, we will note anything relevant and store this securely on our systems.

 

Recruitment and Employment

In order to comply with our contractual, statutory and management obligations and responsibilities, we process personal data, including sensitive personal data, from job applicants and employees. Such data could include but not be limited to data relating to payroll, bank account, social security, tax, training, development and disciplinary matters.

 

Data Storage

Hard copy files are locked in [fireproof cabinets?]. Electronic information is password protected by authorised users.

We may change this Data Protection and Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law.

You are entitled to request a copy of your personal data that we hold. Any request received will be processed within one calendar month. You have a right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information Commissioner if you think that Super Smiles has not dealt with your personal data appropriately.
